A few years back, I purchased a robotic vacuum for the studio, and never used it
There were excuses. There was too much furniture for it to move around. It’s easier to just sweep since my floors are wood. And the biggest, what if the dogs don’t like it?
So it sat, for two years. Then a few months ago I charged it. And while it was showing charged on the charger, it wouldn’t run off the charger. So this morning I made the decision to buy a new battery for it and sell it.
Turned it over and there’s a power switch on the bottom too. Once I turned it on and brought it out to the kitchen and living room area, it worked fine.

Except it wouldn’t pick up on the edges. So I took it back to the office and was showing it to M. He noticed it has two posts for side brushes that I don’t have. Less than $15 later and two sets of side brushes plus a replacement brush and four filters are on their way to me.
As for the dogs, it didn’t phase them at all. Nissa was particularly funny, sitting in the kitchen, watching us work and it bumped into her. She quietly moved her leg to let it go past and continued to watch us cook.
A bonus is that it’s super quiet.
While it won’t replace moving the furniture and doing a proper vacuuming, it will work well for walkways (especially the dog paths) and it’s easier on my back than a broom.
Plus, I already have it so it’s a use what you have item.
On a more creative note, I’m back to evening stitching on Raven Queen for a bit.

I too have pets. I tried a robotic vacuum. It filled up with fur and fuzz. And was a pain to clean the head. So it went back to my niece. My trusty vacuum works much better in my home. So I am using what I have, too! Love your floors.
