Our headboard has open access under it, and the cats take full advantage of that. Unfortunately when they are chased under there, sometimes they don’t come out for quite a while and are known to make messes there.
This morning, through a series of events, not only did the one of the cats make a mess, but then the dogs got into it 🤢
So we’re remodeling the headboard to eliminate that space as I can’t clean under there unless someone else is home to move the two pieces of our bookcase headboard.
Not what I anticipated doing today, but I’ll be glad to finally have it blocked off.
Next up, catch Mallory and crate her for a vet visit……wish me luck as she does NOT like the crate, nor the car. Both of which I think are aggravated by her having been a stray and shelter cat. But as her and Sasha are still having battles, the first step is to get a clean bill of health for Mallory. And to find out why her eye is always weeping.

That doesn’t sound like it was very much fun and I’m sure the mess cleanup was not fun either. Good plan to eliminate that hard-for-a-human-to-reach space. Hope you got the cat to the vet OK.
