Vacation Stitching (take two)

I wrote this post, and then hit the wrong button and instead of deleting one pic, I deleted the entire post, so let’s try again.

On occasion my husband and I get to go on vacation. With our lifestyle (his trucking, my animals and gardening) it doesn’t happen often but is thoroughly enjoyed when we do. And when a friend in Florida invites us to visit where we have no obligations, it’s the best!

Almost every morning, once we arrived, started with this view and a cup of coffee.

When I go on vacation, I always take multiple projects with me. In one tote bag only, but that gives me variety for my “squirrel” brain.

This project saw the most stitching time.

My starting point:

And my ending point ( I haven’t touched any stitching since we’ve been back home, but maybe today I can?)

Oh, and by request, the little stinker (kitten) who is too curious for her own good. Meet Izzy….

Yesterday I transitioned my kitchen from canning season to baking season. In other words, I cleared the canning clutter and made room on the island to bake.

Apple pie? Cookies? Brownies? Muffins? The possibilities are endless and they all sound perfect for cool mornings and dark evenings. Bread!! I haven’t baked bread in forever…..oh wait someone went to the store and bought two loaves yesterday, scratch that one off……… 😂

  1. I’m still wanted to can, but I put everything away for another day. I really am anxious that I’ll make a mistake. Izzy is pretty. 🙂 And I hope you bake a lot of great stuff!! I hope the 40-count linen I’m waiting on comes tomorrow (the project on it is not large).

  2. Hey Judy, So happy you got to take a vacation! I sure could use one!! Nothing like being at the ocean!! Perhaps I can hook up with you at a later date. Love and hugs, Susan

  3. Thank you for the Izzy photo. She’s adorable. Nice vaca photo, too.

I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve written a missive email and accidentally deleted it before sending. So frustrating. Got a new mouse. This one’s not so sensitive. Just barely touching the old one would ruin me.
