Good morning and Merry Christmas! It’s my favorite time of the day, daylight is breaking and the house is quiet I have a cat above my head on the back of the chair, a pup in my lap, a cup of tea and the tree is lit up.

We fenced off the tree last night. The presents were put under it and the pups are just a year old and still full of mischief.
It will be a quiet Christmas here. Covid has not fully left the house yet. Or maybe it has and my lingering patient has a different issue now, but either way it’s just the three of us this year. So far, I’m still testing negative with no symptoms. (Yay!)
Many changes are on the horizon for us for 2024. After 20 years of longarm quilting, the time has come to move into a different direction. Goneaway Quilting will be closing on December 31st. BUT Goneaway Studio (where I actually MAKE things) will be continuing on. I’m looking forward to returning to my roots as a maker. It’s been an honor and a pleasure to serve my customers over the years, but as with all seasons, they change. i have missed the creative process of producing items, whether that’s sewn, knitted, woven or grown. Perhaps I’ll even complete some of the dozens of my own projects that are in process!
But for today, it’s Christmas and a quiet day here.
That’s a beautiful tree 🙂 Merry Christmas (late!).
