Multitasking is something I used to take for granted. Then through some family changes it just wasn’t possible. Being a caretaker sometimes requires 100% concentration. But now, a few years later, I’m finding I can multitask again, at times.
One of those times is when I’m babysitting the pressure canner. Today’s canner is turkey soup from the leftover turkey with the stock from the bones. It’s going to make a nice, easy dinner on busy nights. I usually cook some rice, open a jar of turkey (or chicken) soup and mix them together with some extra seasonings. It makes a quick and filling meal with a tossed salad.
So today as I babysit the canner, it’s also cross stitch time.

Winter seems the perfect season to work on the Winter Seasonal Samplings from Primrose Cottage Stitches. And being worked in a hoop, it’s portable to the kitchen table where I can see and hear the pressure canner.
I wonder if I can finish this by December 31st? One can only try.
Are you a multitasker or a mono-tasker? Or a combination of both? I’m a combination of both who is multitasking today.
Ooooo! That cross stitch looks cute! I am mainly a one-thing-at-a-time person. Our brains really cannot concentrate on more than one thing at a time. I do, however, have a tendency to get side-tracked with stuff. I’ll be working on one thing and then something else demands my attention and then I have two things that aren’t done. It’s bothersome 😀
I ended up playing with the kitten while listening to the canner.
