Another day, another project.

Today’s project involves space saver bags. It started with changing out the summer clothes in my closet for the fall and winter ones.

And spiraled into cleaning out everything in the closet that I haven’t used in over a year.

For now it all goes into storage in space saver bags. Should I need something, it will be accessible without spending unnecessary money to replace something that was given away.

If in a year, I haven’t needed any of it, those items not needed will be disposed of. Thankfully I have the storage space to do this as long as things are shrunk into space saver bags.

I’m starting with our bike leathers and old coats, afghans I don’t use and curtains. At one point in my life, I enjoyed changing out my decorations (all the way to the curtains) for every season and sometimes monthly. Time and aging has changed that. While I still enjoy some decorations for each season, going as far as changing the curtains and drapes is more than I have the energy or time for. Then again, maybe in the next year, I’ll find that energy again. Who knows?

And as a follow up to yesterday, Mallory is fine. A yeast infection in her ears that we’re treating and a change of diet and she‘s improving already. I’m hoping that once she’s no longer “sick” perhaps the attacks on her by Sasha will stop.

One can always hope. In so many ways……

  1. I think this is a smart plan. Because I have struggled with my weight for so long, I have closets in multiple sizes and, truly, very little clothing that actually fits me currently. I keep thinking maybe I should divest, but you know, there’s always hope . . . Glad your kitty is OK 🙂
