It’s that time of year

For the first time in months, it was cool enough this morning to require the car seat warmer. We’ve had cooler mornings, but not ones where I needed to leave the house before it warmed up. It’s still cool enough in the studio that a sweater is required, and my weaving shed has no heat yet so I won’t be there in the mornings anytime soon…..or at least not until it’s either insulated or has a heater, or preferably both!

Today is always such a strange day for me. The first workday after the time change. I’m still off-kilter with the clock change, as are all the critters.

Add to that the general state of anxiety, anticipation, waiting that seems to permeate everything with this election cycle (more so than others) and I’m out of sorts.

So I’ll spend my afternoon in the studio working on an antique quilt top for a friend.

And this evening, I’ll continue stitching on Raven Queen

And in between, I’ll play with the three musketeers 😂

Perhaps between all that, with an audiobook in my ears, I can settle in and get through the rest of the day.

And one day, maybe, we’ll at least quit this time change craziness……….. one can always hope.

  1. Those puppers are so cute! And that quilt is beautiful. 🙂 And yes, anxious here, too, but focusing on the outcome want and sending that energy out into the universe 🙂
